Caring With Confidence

What is Caring with Confidence?

Caring with Confidence is a free programme of flexible sessions for unpaid carers to help make a positive difference to their lives and that of the person they care for.

Carers can get involved with Caring with Confidence in three ways – through local group sessions alongside other carers from their local community or from home using flexible self-study workbooks or online sessions designed to be completed at a pace to fit in with the demands on your time.

The programme is made up of several stand-alone sessions covering different topics which allow you to pick and choose which ones to do depending on your own caring situation.

Sessions look at things like practical aspects of day-to-day caring, communicating with others, financial and other resources and looking after your own health and wellbeing.

Each session gives you the opportunity to develop skills, get advice and information, talk and share experiences with other carers.

For carers attending local group sessions, we can also help with the cost of any alternative care required and travel to the venues.

Caring with Confidence is completely free to any carer aged 18 and over in England.
